- ACHI offers consultations for individuals seeking expert evaluation of autonomic disorders, as well as consultations for industry on topics related to autonomic and catecholamine biology. Consultations can be conducted online or via records review.
- Who should consider a consultation?
- Anyone affected by or suspected of having a dysautonomia or autonomic disorder. This includes patients with unexplained symptoms such as orthostatic intolerance, abnormal sweating, blood pressure instability, or chronic fatigue. Clinicians seeking a second opinion on complex cases are also welcome.
- How do I prepare for a consultation?
- Gather any relevant medical records, test results, and a summary of your symptoms and their history. Having a list of current medications and prior treatments is also helpful. Dr. Goldstein will review these materials to make the consultation as productive as possible.
- Is ACHI affiliated with the NIH?
- Dr. Goldstein is a Scientist Emeritus at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) at the NIH. ACHI is an independent institute founded by Dr. Goldstein after his retirement from the NIH.
